Jessica has spent nearly two decades in the pet industry. She started out as a dog trainer, helping pet parents and their dogs learn the basics of obedience. She then graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Animal Sciences and a focus on small animal behavior, veterinary medicine, and horse and sheep husbandry.
After school, Jessica spent several years working and volunteering for various animal shelters as a behaviorist and trainer, and also enjoying sharing her skills as a writer.
